I remember the day I received my wedding album—I still feel such appreciation and happiness for having those moments captured. It's what inspired me to become a photographer.

When I'm not photographing weddings and families, I work in healthcare. I've been an ER nurse for 10 years and I see a lot of sad events in peoples lives. While I do love helping people, the sadness and the stress of this job takes its toll on me. Photography allows me to capture the happy moments in people's lives. My nursing career has made that even more important to me as I know how quickly a life can change. Sometimes all you have is that photograph. It’s so important to cherish the moments you have with loved ones. Looking back through old albums is definitely a favourite pastime of mine.

I absolutely love to capture moments that people might not even be aware are happening. The look of admiration as parents watch their children, or the faces in the crowds during wedding speeches. Those moments have such emotion and are so raw and beautiful. I feel those moments are what tell your story and that’s what I really love to capture for people.
